Just One Kiss by Susan Mallery

Susan Mallery has done it again with her Fool's Gold Series in Just One Kiss.  Justice Garret has a plan to be in the beloved town of Fool's Gold and start  business with two fellow hero's.  His life has been solitary and he plans to keep it that way ~~ In comes Patience McGraw his one time lovable friend who knew nothing of his life before Fool's Gold.  Does he need to share that he was in a witness protection program with her in order for her to understand why he left all those years ago?  Why should he hes not interested in nothing but friendship therefore he can look at her from a distance and remember the good times.

Patience McGraw works in a tiny beauty shop by day and dreams of her long time plan of being a business owner of her own coffee shop.  She has a past with men who has left her a little shaken and off men.  Her daughter and mother all live in the home she grew up in and share in her life long dream.  Patience has a full life with a daughter growing up in a school where girls are gushing over daddy's, and her mother is dealing with MS in an extraordinary way.

When the door bell rings and Patience looks up at the man who has walked in and said "Hello Patience" she is puzzled by who he is.  Her brain is saying no it can't be, but realizes its Justice her boyhood crush and hes here in front of her no longer a boy but a vibrant, good looking buff man.  She doesn't think before she reacts and throws herself at him hugging him thinking OMG so much time and hes here in Fool"s Gold.  After realizing what she is doing she steps back and looks at him realizing he has changed hes no longer the young boy hes a man.  With Justice and Patience having a plan for the future of a bodyguard business and her coffee shop can they make sparks fly and mocha's together? Do they dare give up their dreams for each other?  Do they ever share that Just One Kiss?

I wish Fools Gold existed somewhere in this country and maybe to some extend it does. I love the sense of family, friendship and community support Susan's books represent and I hold out hope that there are lots of small places that to some extend still carry this trait.

I'm so excited the bodyguards are FINALLY here!! Like Judie said, I wish there was a real place like Fool's Gold. I'm sure there's a small town that's similar, but truly, can there really be a Fool's Gold? Sigh.

I thought Susan did a great job creating a new and fun sex scene in this book. It was something different than what she usually does =)

You have a gift for sharing with words. I am so looking forward to cheering this summer and will continue to look to you and others who know what they're doing for pointers.

Just One Kiss was fabulous! I l LOVED IT! It is a great book to start off our summer reading! Justice and Patience match perfectly with each other and in the Fool's Gold town. The struggles each face with their families we can find pieces we relate with allowing us closer to the characters in the book. Susan Mallery delivers again! This book is a must read on everyone's summer reading list! Enjoy!

"Because that's what this place was about, making memories.

"Because that's what this place was about, making memories."
And NY Times Best Selling Author Susan Mallery did just that in "Just One Kiss". This is a book that you can't put down and when your through reading the love story of Patience and Justice, Ms. Mallery has left you with wonderful memories of one of the best books I've read in the entire Fools Gold series. There is something for everyone in this book, but what Ms. Mallery should be most commended for is her depiction of how Ava, Patience's mom, lives her life while having Multiple Sclerosis. This book has left such a good impression on me I'm going to go read it again right now!

Always love returning to Fool's Gold. It is like returning home!! I love the relationship between Patience & Justice. I love how that Susan has a character with MS. Susan is teaching us how it is to be strong to live with MS, but still live. I have a daughter with a disease that is not well known so I love to learn about different diseases.
